About ICAN

The International Center for Applied Neogogy is the institutional home for research, certification, and formation in the framework created by Dr. Alin Vrancila.

Our Story
From research to a center.
ICAN grew out of a decade of research and writing by Dr. Alin Vrancila on the question of what education should become as artificial intelligence entered every classroom, laboratory, and workplace. Two books followed, and with them a growing conversation with educators, deans, and organizational leaders on four continents.
The center was established at Life College International in Manila as the institutional home for applied Neogogy across Asia and beyond. Its work is scholarly and practical: to test the framework against the realities of teaching and learning, to certify educators in its practice, and to help institutions become the AI ready, humane learning ecosystems their students and societies deserve.
ICAN is not a technology firm. It is an academic center with a technology intelligence, convinced that the answer to intelligent machines is not less human formation but more.

ICAN is a center of Life College International, an evangelical Christian college pioneering AI native, faith anchored higher education in the Philippines. Together, LCI and ICAN pursue a shared conviction: that the answer to intelligent machines is deeper human formation, and that the university is one of the places where that formation must be renewed.
The center draws on LCI's academic community, chapel life, and international partnerships to test Neogogy in a living institution, and to send its graduates and certified educators into classrooms and organizations across the region.

Founder, Neogogy Framework

Alin Vrancila is the founder of the Neogogy framework, President of Life College International, and the author of two books on learning in the age of artificial intelligence. His doctoral research examined the integration of AI in higher education, with particular attention to the questions of academic identity, formation, and institutional change.
He has served as university provost and chief academic officer, and has taught, designed programs, and led faculties across multiple continents. His current work focuses on the practical question at the heart of Neogogy: how do institutions become genuinely AI ready without losing what makes an education worth having?
He speaks regularly at universities, medical schools, and international conferences, and writes for both academic and general audiences on the future of the university, cognitive formation, and the ethics of intelligent systems in learning.
